Seth Brodsky is Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Chicago. His areas of specialization include 20th and 21st century music; modernisms; influence and intertextuality; music and philosophy; critical theory; and psychoanalysis. He is the author of From 1989, or European Music & the Modernist Unconscious (University of California Press, January 2017), and has co-edited, with Rob Haskins, Each Is at the Center: Essays for the Centenary of John Cage (Northwestern University Press, forthcoming 2017).
