Bruce Jenkins is Professor of Film, Video, New Media and Animation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Prior to coming to SAIC, he was the Stanley Cavell Curator at the Harvard Film Archive, where he directed a year-round cinematheque program, published volumes on Abbas Kiarostami and Robert Gardner, and managed a film collection. Jenkins served as the Curator of Film and Video for many years at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis where he worked on exhibitions devoted to Marcel Broodthaers, Fluxus, Chantal Akerman, and Bruce Conner.

He has authored a book-length study on the work of Gordon Matta-Clark for Afterall and edited a volume of writings by Hollis Frampton for MIT Press. His writings have appeared in Artforum, October, and Millennium Film Journal, as well as in numerous museum exhibition catalogues. He is currently at work as a co-author on the second volume of the catalogue raisonné for the films of Andy Warhol.
